Meet the Founder
Thomasina Jones is a graduate from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a B.A. degree in Liberal Arts and Dance. While attending UNCG, she performed and traveled doing work through choreography, as a back up dancer for various artists and teaching workshops. Revamp Contemporary Dance Company was formed in January of 2013, where she was determined to provide a safe space for all dancers, no matter their background or financial situation. In her mission to change the dance community, she has held successful fundraisers for those in need, worked with Communities in Schools to provide enrichment programming, provided countless scholarships to deserving dancers and have exposed dancers to a world outside of Greensboro through traveling to different states. This journey has not been easy but it’s been right where she needed to be. Being here allows her to provide a new promise, a new passion, and a new purpose through dance.
